trueClass VPN-MPLS Managed Network

Virtual Private Networks (VPNs) offer an cost effective and network efficient way to build an enterprise network that provide the security and exceeds the performance of a dedicated private-line network. The trueClass family of managed VPN services can help you with secure access to your network anywhere. Voxitas managed services is built upon industry standards of MPLS with Quality of Service (QoS), IP Security (IPSec), Internet Access, Voice over Private Networking, and Class of Service for our most demanding Enterprise Clients.

Key Features

  • MPLS Quality of Service Capable
  • MPLS Class of Service Capable
  • Private Networking Across the Wide Area
  • Managed Network Firewall

The Voxitas trueClass network is built to meet the demanding requirements of VoIP and enterprise traffic. Our architecture enables you to take advantage of the efficiency and cost savings available today for integrated voice, video, data, and Internet networks.. In addition, we ensure that you will have the ability to continue to deploy new applications in the future.

Frame Relay and public Internet VPNs alone are typically inadequate for business class VoIP and time critical data applications. The Voxitas network ends the compromise between expensive legacy networks and unreliable Internet VPNs. Whether you are running voice, video, data, or any combination, the trueClass Voxitas network solves your application needs.

The reality is - public Internet Access and/or VPNs alone do not support quality of service (QoS) or class of service (CoS). Our private network allows small business through enterprise customers to avoid the complexity and risks of the public Internet that are intrinsic to VPN only solutions. There is no need for tunneling or encryption for your core site-to-site network. The Voxitas network provides a an elegant, secure solution that maintains performance within a private, converged network environment.

Voxitas also provides a product that does not utilize MPLS capabilities. This product, called trueConnection is suitable for single or mulitple site location where site to site networking is not required. trueClass provides all of the voice benefits provided by trueConnection and adds secure managed multi-site connectivity between multiple customer sites. In addition, trueClass adds VPN Interworking and managed firewall solutions to your private Voxitas provided MPLS network. This means a remote site that may not justify a large circuit or a single user can connect up to a Voxitas managed VPN concentrator and access your corporate network with SSL and/or IPSec encryption.

There are many benefits to Voxitas MPLS Private Network. Initially, the goal of label based switching was to increase the speed of Layer 2 switching to Layer 3 IP routing, however the additional benefits are:

  • Traffic Engineering
  • Elimination of Multiple Layers
  • Fewer firewalls actually means greater security with MPLS. All Offices Connect to the MPLS Cloud and a single Firewall makes management more effective.

Quality of Service the Right Way: Maintaining Session Priority

Voxitas' network delivers QoS and CoS (where needed) the right way, both within the network core and across the customer's last-mile connections. Each customer is given exclusive network capacity. The trueClass network architecture can deliver QoS and CoS at both Layer 2 and Layer 3 levels.

The trueClass network core is able to inspect all traffic on each site's links, both inbound and outbound. Each packet's service header is read to determine its type and the appropriate priority is then applied to ensure that class of service is enforced across the network. Therefore, voice calls are maintained at the highest throughput while bandwidth for lower priority data sessions is dynamically scaled back.

What is MPLS VPN? (Warning Tech Speak)

MPLS (Multi Protocol Label Switching) is independent of underlying Access and often referred to as a "Layer 2.5" protocol.

MPLS provides an integrated network that can handle multiple types of network traffic. It has application awareness, so it can prioritize traffic - based on user set definitions.

MPLS allows the creation of virtual LANS for inter-site connectivity. It forgoes the need to purchase and manage multiple firewalls and Customer CPE equipment is all that is needed.

Upon label switching, MPLS places labels on IP packets and packet-forwarding decisions are made solely on the contents of those labels. MPLS is not designed to replace IP, but rather, it is designed to add a set of rules based on these user definitions. Individual IP Packets are not examined meaning speed!

Components of the MPLS Private Networking system include:

• Label Edge Routers (LERs)
• Label: Labels are short fixed length identifiers, assigned to every packet.
• Label-Switched Path (LSP)
• Label Switch Routers (LSRs)
• CPE (CE)
